Brazilian Culture
The culture of Brazil presents a very diverse nature showing that an ethnic and cultural mixing occurred in the colonial period involving mostly Native Americans, Portuguese and Africans. In the late 19th and early 20th centuries Italian, German, Spanish, Ukrainians, Polish, Arab and Japanese immigrants settled in Brazil and played an important role in its culture, creating a multicultural and multi-ethnic society.
The website shows all the culture about Brazil

Brazil Football
Brazil has won the world cup 5 times but Brazil hasn’t won the Olympic football tournament. They have 4 silvers and 2 Bronze.
I have used two websites to reach this information and the two websites give detail in when they won the world cups and when they got the medals.

Rio architecture
Located in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Leaf House was designed by mareines and patalano arquitetura, This project was inspired by Brazil’s Indian architecture, perfectly suited for the hot and humid climate where it stands, Rio de Janeiro .The roof acts as a big leaf that protects from the hot sun all the enclosed spaces of the house, such as the verandas and the in-between open spaces. These last two types of space are the main social areas, the essence of the design. They allow trade winds from the sea to pass through the building, providing natural ventilation and passive cooling.
The website shows information all about the leaf house.

Rio’s famous structures
These are images of famous buildings in rio.
The website shows the image and information.

Brief

Brief

I have been asked to create four stamps to commemorate the event. The Olympics will be enjoyed by all ages so the stamps should be suitable for all ages. The design should be both memorable and eye-catching. The final designs should be cultural and should include the sporting background of Brazil. I should also include landmarks and event held at the games.
